The route bisects the newly approved residential care home and country park.

The planning inspector approved these as one combined planning application.  GCP has not re-planned the route so that the country park is cut off from the care home.

There will be a new level crossing at Haverhill road. The bus stop is located 3/4 mile away from the village centre, on the Eastern edge of the village.

The bus stop and level crossing will be supported by new infrastructure, lighting, traffic lights, road markings and signage which will urbanise the edge of the village.

There will also be an area of land which is no longer viable for agriculture and is likely to have housing built on it in future.  Again there is no parking so the guided busway has very limited benefit to Stapleford's 1,900 residents.

The route continues Northwest through greenbelt towards the Northeastern edge of Shelford.

The section between Haverhill Road and Graham’s Road will use the lower slopes of the Gog Magog Hills which will have a negative impact on the landscape around the villages.

In contrast the alternatives proposed by BW4B! improve the bus service along the A1307 and has no impact on residents in Stapleford.

There is a better way!
